Tenuta Corte Pavone, a Part of the Loacker Family Estates
Tenuta Corte Pavone is located in Montalcino and is one of the three wineries belonging to the Loacker Wine Estates, which also includes also wineries Tenuta Valdifalco in Maremma and Weingut Loacker in South Tyrol – Alto Adige. The winery was established in 1979 and owned by the Loaker family. They are the pionners of modern organic and biodynamic viticulture in Italy and are proud of their 40-year-old organic wine heritage and philosophy. Tenuta Corta Pavone is a typical winery of Tuscany. The entrance to the winery follows down a majestic, cypress lined driveway, through wrought iron gates with stunning views of the vineyards of Montalcino, a Medieval hill town. The winery owns 19 hectares of vineyards in and around the winery. The vineyards face different directions and have different soil types, allowing for the complexity in grapes that can be used for creating the various wines of Tenuta Corte Pavone.
Sangiovese, the King Variety of Tuscany
The major production of these vineyards are Sangiovese grapes. Corte Pavone wines are renowned for their strong character. Their wines include a fresh spumante, an elegant Rosso di Montalcino, an expressive Brunello di Montalcino and a single vineyard Brunello, developed using the Cru concept.
A Tasting of Their Elegant Wines
An elegant freshness, combined with a strong, tannin structure, and expressive colour are the distinctive traits of the wines. You can visit Tenuta Corte Pavone and enjoy their wines. You also get the exclusive chance to taste wines from Maremma and South Tyrol at Corte Pavone if you would like to try their wines from the other two wineries.
