Terre del Barolo, Production of Best Barolo Wines
Consisting of over 300 members, the Terre del Barolo Winery is located in Castiglione Falletto in the Cuneo province of Italy. The winery has dedicated itself to produce the highest quality Barolo wines. Terre del Barolo’s vineyards extend over a massive area of about 650 hectares in several municipalities of the Barolo region. At Terre del Barolo Winery, every member of the family cultivates and nourishes the lands of the winery with great dedication and love for wine.
A Successful Cooperative Business
The history of Terre del Barolo was started in the second half of the 20th century when Arnaldo Rivera, a teacher and a mayor of Castiglione Falletto, decided to make a group of winemakers. Initially, they started the cooperative business with 21 members only, which over time, increased to a greater extent. In later years, the group purchased more land for the cultivation of grapes and also established new cellars, equipped with modern machinery. Along with traditional methods, the group uses many advanced innovative approaches to enhance production of the winery. In the vineyards, positioned over 11 villages, the estate grows a broad range of grapes. It includes top-class Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, and Arneis, accompanying fruity Gavi, Favorita, and Chardonnay. Using the best bunches, Terre di Barolo produces top-quality red and white wines, together with a delicious dessert and sparkling vintages, all within the Barolo DOC and DOCG regions.
State-of-the-art Technology at the Terre del Barolo Winery
In 2017, a new project began known as Arnaldo Rivera, under which the cellar underwent a thorough renovation. At present, the cellar consists of micro fermenters, 500-700 liters of French oak barrels, 25 and 50 hectoliters of French oak barrels, and the most advanced tools to enhance the quality of wines.
