Tipchenitza Winery, Boutique Winery with Organically Grown Vineyards
Tipchenitza Winery is a new wine estate situated in the beautiful village of Tipchenitza in the hills of northwest Bulgaria. The estate specializes in a small number of high-quality boutique wines that achieve this quality because of the natural climate and the area’s specific terroir. All grapes at Tipchenitza Winery are grown organically alongside the village, opening up to a magnificent view of the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park.
Several awards have been awarded to Tipchenitza Winery including the Gold Frankfurt International Trophy for the Tochka Chardonnay.
Main Varieties of the Winery
The Tipchenitza Winery produces two boutique wine series’ – Vratitza and Tochka. The Vratitza series includes wines from grapes grown at the estate’s vineyards, including the unique local Vrachanski Misket varietal, a crisp Chardonnay, red wines from the local Rubin varietal, and their world-renowned Cabernet Sauvignon. In the Tochka series, you can find wines from various grape varietals, which are carefully sourced by expert winemakers from different regions across Bulgaria. This series includes wine varietals and excellent blended wines, including Chardonnay, Colombard, Riesling, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
International Recognition and Multiple Awards
Some of the awards that have been received by Tipchenitza Winery include the Gold Frankfurt International Trophy for their Tochka Chardonnay and Colombard. The Vratitza Vrachanski Misket has won a Silver Medal in the Balkan International Wine Competition for the Tochka Riesling, Tochka rosé, and Cabernet Sauvignon won Gold for the Vratitza Vrachanski Misket. These awards demonstrate the high quality of the wines produced and their international recognition.
