About Us

Vigneti Cenci is nestled in the picturesque Franciacorta region, specifically in Cologne, at the base of Monte Orfano. This stunning promontory not only cradles our vineyards but also imparts unique character to our grapes.

The south-facing slopes of Monte Orfano, enriched with mineral subsoil, create an ideal terroir for cultivating our prized Pinot Bianco grapes, which are the hallmark of our winery.

This exceptional terroir ensures that our wines possess a distinctive mineral quality and ripe fruit flavors, enhanced by fresh, fruity aromas. We prioritize natural grape sugars during both fermentations, allowing our grapes to achieve optimal phenolic maturity and bringing the vibrant aromas of our vineyards to your table.

La Boscaiola

La Boscaiola, a charming seventeenth-century farmstead, lies in the heart of Franciacorta. This historic site has always been a sanctuary for wines with character.

Since 1960, under the stewardship of the Cenci family, La Boscaiola has been revitalized. Nelson Cenci, a physician and writer, took on the challenge of restoring the farmstead and its neglected vineyards, laying the groundwork for the exceptional Vigneti Cenci wines we produce today.

For over three decades, we have nurtured our wines with meticulous attention to detail, from the care of the land to the harvest and the slow aging process on the lees. Our commitment to the land is reflected in our winemaking approach, which exclusively uses natural grape sugars.

Our Franciacorta Wines

Our estate spans nearly six hectares, where we cultivate three grape varieties: Chardonnay, various clones of Pinot Bianco from our historic vineyard, and Pinot Nero. Each year, we produce around 45,000 bottles of Franciacorta, crafted into seven unique blends.

Our Franciacorta wines are made using only natural grape sugars, ensuring authenticity and quality. Here are some of our notable offerings:

  • La Capinera Brut
  • La Via della Seta Saten
  • Zero Pas Dosé
  • La Capinera Rosé Brut
  • Nelson Cenci Extra Brut
  • Sessanta Millesimato Brut
  • Nelson Cenci "L'Insolita Annata" Millesimato Brut

Maurizio the owner showed my girlfriend and I the whole vineyard and extensively explained the entire winemaking progress. A tour with 3 glasses of Franciacorta wine is 30€ pp. We would recommend this to anyone staying here in the region. Maurizio was very very kind to us and aswered all the questions we had about the wine. Loved it.

A truly surprising reality, simple and genuine. The owner is truly appreciable in her kindness, but the wine is something that goes beyond, something that can pleasantly surprise. Excellent value for money, I hope to have the opportunity to return.

It is not easy to see it from the outside, but the cellar is located inside a beautiful historic farmhouse, which belonged to Maurizio's grandfather. it is also possible to taste their wines outside, as they have a large porch. Maurizio and his mother will welcome you with great hospitality and kindness! Their Franciacorta cuvee satin brut is simple magic, we will definitely be back!!
