Volker Eisele- Exceptional Winemaking in a Cooler Sub-Appellation of Napa Valley
Volker Eisele Family Estate is located in the Chiles Valley District, a sub-appellation of the Napa Valley. Their vineyards sit slightly east of Napa and endure blankets of Pacific fog making it one of the cooler growing areas of the valley. This results in a long growing season for the vines lending to wines with structure and depth. Established in 1974, the winery and vineyards reflect the hard work and commitment of the Eisele Family and their pursuit to grow high-quality vines and craft exceptional wines. The 400 acre estate was part of the land given to Joseph Chiles in 1843, who sold it to Francis Sievers. Several tanks, the press, and the original winery building are still present on the estate.
Certified Organic Vineyards
Their vineyards are spread over an area of sixty hectares and at elevations reaching 1100 feet above sea level. The soil, climate, and rainfall in the region are unique for the cultivation of vines. The winery believes they have enriched the quality of their vineyards by using organic and sustainable farming practices.
Volker Eisele Winery has practiced organic viticulture in the Chiles Valley since 1974.
There is minimal intervention in their winemaking process and no use of any chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
