La cantina Fortemasso si trova a Monforte d'Alba, uno degli 11 comuni di produzione del Barolo DOCG. I nostri vigneti si trovano a Castelletto, sulle pendici di una collina molto ripida, con un'altitudine compresa tra 360 e 450 metri sul livello del mare, e il terreno qui presente ha una composizione molto sabbiosa. Una posizione di rara bellezza, dominante la Langa e con vista sui vigneti di Serralunga e Monforte; uno staff estremamente competente, guidato da una filosofia produttiva molto chiara, che attribuisce estrema importanza al vigneto e usa mano leggera in cantina, al fine di mantenere riconoscibili le caratteristiche del Nebbiolo che cresce nella MGA Castelletto; una cantina sotterranea sostenibile, progettata per preservare il paesaggio rurale esterno ma modernamente progettata per il processo produttivo: tutto questo è Fortemasso.

We had a very nice and personal tour of the winery and tasting at Fortemasso. The view from top of the hill is great, the wines are very delicious and Francesca made it a very personal experience with lots of explanations and personal recommendations. One of our best winery experiences in Piedmont, highly recommend booking a tasting during your visit in the region!

Fortemosso is a relatively young winemaker in the region. But don't be fooled! The tour and tasting were impressive; every wine was so elegant and a true explosion of flavor. If you're in the Barolo region and fancy an informative and delicious tour/tasting, be sure to stop by! Oh, and don't forget to take some delicious home with you! ;) (PS: Say hi to Francesca when you're there; she's a wonderful woman who can explain and describe everything in detail.)
