Un gioiello toscano nel cuore di Montecarlo
The Romani family, now in its third generation, took the initiative at the end of the last century to grow the winery and to honor the history of the Fattoria di Badia Pozzeveri. Built as a shelter and hostel for pilgrims on the Via Francigena, the Fattoria enjoyed an architectural and historical heritage that deserved to be admired and, above all, experienced firsthand. For this reason, it was decided to renovate the Old Villa and the Farmhouse to open an Agriturismo . The original project envisaged only the construction of the Country Resort, which was completed in 1999. The rapid success and enthusiasm of the guests then convinced him to expand the structure by also renovating the Tavern , which opened in 2002.
In the 2000s, the work of requalifying the Vineyards began, to the advantage of the quality of the final product. Three new Labels were subsequently created that completed the production of Montecarlo Bianco and Rosso DOC: Since 2005, Vermentino and Chardonnay have always been vinified in purity. In all this, making use of the valuable contribution of the agronomist, and expert agricultural operators, the management of the production of arable crops, forage and legumes, on an area of approximately 140 hectares, is not neglected.
