The Story of Annafrancesca Winery

Annafrancesca Winery is a testament to the passion of two sisters who chose to pursue their love for wine. Known as "the pioneer of the bassa" (the lowlands of Verona), they challenge the belief that hillside vineyards are superior. As professional sommeliers, Anna and Francesca infuse their expertise into every facet of winemaking. Francesca restores beautiful art pieces, while Anna shares her wine knowledge at international events. The winery's new tasting room reflects their creativity, featuring vintage furniture from flea markets and local artists' works. It serves as a venue for individual and group tastings, eno-cultural events, and private gatherings.

Annafrancesca's Winemaking Philosophy and Wines

Set in a stunning vineyard, Annafrancesca is a haven of biodiversity, complete with a park and a small natural lake. The winery's philosophy centers on organic and piwi grapes, cultivated to create wines that reflect the region's essence. Each bottle is a blend of nature's elements and the dedication of the winemakers, beautifully presented with elegant labels that tell their story.

Location, Gastronomy, and Accommodation

Located just 30 minutes south of Verona and 45 minutes from Lake Garda, Annafrancesca offers access to various outdoor activities. Visitors can run along the Adige River, bike from Lake Garda to Mantova, or enjoy tennis, swimming, and horseback riding. Nearby cities like Padova, Vicenza, and Mantova boast rich history and culture. While the winery does not have an on-site restaurant, catered meals and personal chef services can be arranged upon request. For accommodation, Annafrancesca partners with local villas, Agriturismo, B&Bs, and hotels to ensure a comfortable stay.

Annafrancesca's wines are wonderful and reflect the passion that the company puts into its work. Anna, one of the two sisters and the only one I have unfortunately met for the moment, is extremely kind and makes the wine experience even more pleasant thanks also to her expertise. I highly recommend trying their wines and participating in the events organized by Anna and Francesca. I'm sure you won't regret it!

I was in the Anna Francesca showroom - Bio vineyard and Wine Loft on Saturday 24 February on the occasion of the I'm reading for you initiative. Beautiful experience: convivial moment between reading and tasting excellent wine. Francesca is a very knowledgeable person and it was pleasant to listen to her describe her product and its story. I purchased a Charme Spumante Rosé Brut and a Rosso Riserva Merlot that I had tasted during the evening. I will certainly participate in other events proposed by Anna and Francesca. The wine is excellent. Advise.
