Historical and Precious Grapes at Carilius Winery

Carilius wines originate from the renowned wine-growing region of Valpolicella, where the exceptional Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes thrive. These historical varieties are celebrated for their adaptability and vigor, flourishing in the region's poor, alluvial soils with a clayey-limestone composition. This unique terroir contributes to the wines' strikingly intense red color and delightful notes of cherry and jam.
