Corte Fornaledo- Winery providing Breathtaking views of the Entire Surrounding Valley and the Progni Valley
The Corte Fornaledo winery is situated in the Marano Municipality in a quite and secluded location above the ancient town of Purano. The winery is accessed by a short stretch of road from Purano and is the perfect example of the preserved history of the region. The setting of the winery provides breath-taking views of the entire surrounding valley and the Progni Valley, which is thought of as being the most spectacular of the three Valpolicella valleys.
Brief History about the Winery
The wine that is produced at the Corte Fornaledo today is an ode to the ancestors of the locals and is served at many of the best restaurants across Italy. During the 16th century, the buildings of the estate underwent an extensive renovation and the architecture of the buildings is representative of this time and clearly inspired by the Renaissance. Today the Corte Fornaledo complex is owned and run by the Borghetti family who came to the area in the 1800s and have since then displayed a clear passion and love for the land and its wines.
The wine farm prides itself in being independent from the large wine markets of the world and base their success purely on the enjoyment of the consumer.
Philosophy of the Wine Makers
The philosophy of the wine makers is enthusiasm and passion and this can be tasted in the unique flavours of the wines. The wines of Corte Fornaledo which cannot be mussed are the Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, the Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC, the Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC and the Recioto Della Valpolicella Classico DOCG.
