Passion for Winemaking

At Al di là del Fiume, a dedicated farm in Emilia-Romagna, the belief in the power of the land drives everything. The team wakes up each day with a vision for a sustainable future, nurturing the earth for generations to come. They understand that harmony exists between the cosmos and the roots of the vineyard.

Meet the Winemakers

Gabriele has deep ties to the land where he was born, a place cultivated by his father and grandfather. His commitment to this heritage is profound, as he wishes to remain connected to it forever.

Danila, on the other hand, cherishes human connections, valuing the joy that comes from simple interactions—a hug, a smile, or a helping hand. Together, they transformed their lives to create a biodynamic farm that encompasses productive, educational, recreational, artistic, and therapeutic activities, all aimed at promoting well-being for both people and the environment.

The Winery Today

Today, Al di là del Fiume embodies the dream of intertwining culture and agriculture. The faces and stories of those who have poured their love into this project are what truly matter. Their efforts have led to the creation of three unique biodynamic wines: an Albana, a Barbera aged in amphora, and a steel-fermented wine, all reflecting the rich heritage of the region.

In the vineyard, the focus is on cultivating healthy, ripe grapes. In the cellar, the goal is to preserve this natural miracle without the use of added yeast or sulfur dioxide. No preservatives or additives are used during the winemaking process, ensuring a pure expression of the land.

The wine labels feature artwork from three young Bologna artists, with names in the local Bolognese dialect, celebrating the roots that inspire their craft.

The advantages: well-renovated location with attention to detail, ample parking. Welcoming staff. Fine cuisine. Defects: External terrace without gazebo, 9pm very humid and cold. Unprofessional staff: no one noticed that some of us were missing cutlery. Very long wait on what we booked, largely easy to prepare. Little varied cuisine. I would add that the Menu, present on their Site, the Owner himself, has judged to be "out of production", update it, right? Medium/high price, but we already knew🤣 I would like to add that, perhaps, they had too many events going on to follow: graduation dinner, birthday party and restaurant. Those who want too much, nothing holds 🤣

I can't wait to return to Anna's hospitality and Louisa's incredible cooking! The farm is the perfect escape from everyday life, and a special opportunity to nurture yourself with a spectacular view, a clean air and extremely fresh local ingredients. See you soon!

An enchantingly delicate, hospitable, friendly and welcoming place. Together with two friends we wanted to try this place after hearing very good things about it and we were pleasantly and positively impressed. Extremely fresh food, 0 km raw materials and unquestionable quality. The owner even informed us in detail about the different types of wine present (including those of the company itself), about the labor and properties of each one: in addition to the very high quality of the product, he inspired us with a lot of curiosity in tasting and choosing. A very interesting menu, enriched by many different dishes, capable of combining tradition with innovation. A great place, highly recommended and above all highly appreciated! Congratulations to the managers of the place!
