The Bugno Martino winery gets its name from the historic village of San Benedetto Po where the charming vineyards of the family are positioned. They are located in the beautiful lands of Oltrepò Mantovano which is the origin of winery’s luscious red wine – Lambrusco Mantovano. For ten years now, the production staff uses both ancient and modern practices of wine production, keeping in mind the importance of nature and biodiversity. They embrace the natural growth of vines without the involvement of chemicals or herbicides. The owner personally pays attention to the wine production processes from harvesting to aging followed by bottling to obtain the organoleptic characteristics and thus the quality.
On the nine hectares of land, the Bugno Martino team grows a broad range of vines, including Salamino, Ancellotta, and Grappello Ruberti to produce delicious Lambrusco wines. Along with that, the estate cultivates fruity Chardonnay and produces in total various wines, such as red, rosés and sparkling wines under Lambrusco Mantovano DOC status.
The cellar of the winery undergoes various rennovations from time to time and is open for visitors to explore. It consists of modern-styled oak barrels for effective maturation and refining.
