Celebrating Three Generations of Winemaking in Montù Beccaria
Zerbosco was established in 2015 with a mission to enhance the quality of grapes grown in our vineyards in Montù Beccaria. Ermano, who inherited the vineyards from his father, has passed down his expertise and family traditions to his son, Alessandro. Together, they focus on sustainable agriculture that respects both nature and the vines. This blend of inherited knowledge and modern insights gained from Alessandro's studies and travels shapes their approach to winemaking.
Vineyard Diversity and Sustainability
Our estate spans over four hectares and features seven distinct vineyards, each with unique characteristics. We aim to celebrate this diversity, as the power, finesse, and elegance of our wines stem from the hillside vineyards, which thrive in sandy and limestone soils at an altitude of 300 meters. The varying exposures and microclimates contribute to the exceptional quality of our grapes. We prioritize the natural balance of the vines, ensuring optimal growth conditions through careful management of leaf-to-bunch ratios and targeted pruning techniques.
The Art of Winemaking
In our cellar, the vineyard takes center stage. Our goal is to produce wines that authentically reflect their origins. We handle the harvested grapes with care, preserving their organoleptic qualities while enhancing their natural characteristics. Our winemaking process adheres to traditional methods, minimizing interventions that could compromise the wine's unique character. We also remain open to innovative techniques that can further enrich our offerings.
