Lonardi Farm and Winery, a Boutique Family Winery
With its rows of vines beautifully resting on the Morainic hills of Garda, the Lonardi Farm and Winery is located in the Verona wine region. The estate deals in bulk and bottled wines, in combination with honey and liqueur production. Beekeeping and winemaking are the traditional activities that are still carried out by the Lonardi family with immense dedication and passion.
Blend of Tradition With Modern Technology Genuine and Novel Regional Wines
After selling the family-owned lands in Castelnuovo del Garda, the great-grandfather Mario purchased an estate in Palazzolo di Sona. His sons, Igino and Franco, started planting grapes to make wines and to sell them to local winemakers. Igino gave a new face to the winery – expansion by purchasing more land. Later, acquired by his son Fabio, the estate began selling honey on a large scale. Today, Maurizio and his father Fabio have modernized the functions in the winery. In 2013, liqueur production took place, along with a new cellar’s construction.
Most Suitable Area to Grow Best Grapes
The vineyards are stretched in the municipalities of Sona and Castelnuovo del Garda, where Maurizio grows a vast array of grapes, including Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, and Merlot. Some plots are reserved for the cultivation of fruity Garganega, Fernanda, Chardonnay, and Incrocio Manzoni. After handpicking of grapes, the estate delivers top-class wines, such as red, white, and rose wines clubbed with dessert and sparkling wines.
