Azienda Agricola Val di Toro, Love for Nature and Wine
The history of Azienda Agricola Val di Toro started in 2003 when Anna Maria Cruciata and Hugh Constable Maxwell moved to the countryside with the desire to live near nature and opened their own winery. Located at the heart of Maremma in the south of Tuscany, the winery has been managed by the family and has become a stellar example of environmental sustainability in wine production ever since. Azienda Agricola Val di Toro has 12 hectares of vineyards to cultivate multiple varieties of grapes such as classic Sangiovese and Vermentino. The winery believes that their story of how the wine is made is as important as the wine itself and true winemaking begins with the care of the soil.
Experience in Organic Winemaking
Azienda Agricola Val di Toro has been practicing organic viticulture from 2004 and have acquired their organic certification in 2015. The results are evident due to the fact that the grapes produced in their vineyard are of the highest quality and these grapes are used to craft some of the best wines with the highest geographical designations like Maremma Toscana DOC and Morellino di Scansano DOCG.
