Azienda San Quirico: A Taste of Tuscany

We discovered this historic company thanks to a Smartbox that they gave us. We were welcomed by Isabella, who with her kindness and friendliness explained to us the stages of grape production and made us taste 4 excellent wines, accompanied by a plate of sausages and cheeses and bread with oil also made by them. For me and my boyfriend it was a pleasant moment of relaxation, discovering the excellence of the area. Thank you Isabella, thank you San Quirico.

Stopped in at the last minute and Adriano was so gracious to provide a tasting. Lovely little family farm and winery. We brought home three bottles of their super Tuscan. The view from their vineyard isn’t bad either!!!

I went with my family to a tasting. Isabella, the owner who runs the company in the fourth generation, welcomed us and explained everything to us. The tasting was accompanied by homemade bread with oil, pecorino and finocchiona salami and for me, who suffers from celiac disease, I was given a slice of gluten-free bread, so I was very satisfied. We tasted 4 wines, our favorites were the Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the Chianti Colli Senesi, which we bought. They have 12 hectares and collect everything manually, an interesting reality that is worth a visit.

Excellent tasting experience, for 25 euros each we were allowed to try 4 types of wines that they make with an explanation of how they make them and how they should be combined and tasted, with Tuscan salami, finocchiona and two types of pecorino, as well as pieces of bread with olive oil from their own production. Recommended

Extremely friendly people, especially the wine tasting with Adrian was a personal highlight! Great personal wine tasting and tour with a view of San Gimignano. Prices very reasonable! We would gladly come back anytime.

Thank you for this delicious wine tasting. It was a great pleasure for us! Very informative and lovely wine tasting. The owner was very, very welcoming. The wine, as well as the small sausage and cheese platter, were delicious. Even detailed questions about residual sweetness, storage times in the barrels, etc. were answered. We really enjoyed it and can only recommend this winery.

We arrived on Sunday and they were kind enough to open for us. Wines are very tasty with specific flavours to this winery. All biologico. Prices very reasonable. Recommended.

Excellent wine and amazing tasting experience with Isabella. She was very informative and knowledgeable about wine and olive oil products. It was such a nice visit and worth a long walk.

Raffaella gave us an excellent experience today!! We first looked at the vines and grapes. Then we went inside to see how they make the wine and bottle it. Along the way, she shared with us an amazingly high level of information, at each step. There were definitely many new things that we learned! Then, after we went through these processes, we entered the tasting room, to begin tasting. She expertly explained about each wine, from the first through the last. We have been to many, many wineries & this clearly was our best wine tasting experience, all due to Raffaella!

Isabella was our host (I believe also the owner). A very pleasant person who is just one of the generations involved in this winery since 1860. I love the history. They also grow olives. I believe she said they had 700 trees. We enjoyed our tasting in a very relaxed atmosphere. There was no charge. If you get a chance, give them a visit.

A wonderful hour spent listening with how much passion and love the company produces its oil and wines. An excellent tasting with typical products and very good wines that I naturally purchased afterwards. Thanks for the hospitality and kindness. Francy and Cri

Excellent welcome and great tasting

Thanks to smartbox we went to this farm that offered the possibility of tasting 3 glasses of wine and a plate of typical products. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by a very kind lady who showed us the vineyards and the entire cellar with an in-depth explanation of their harvest and family production of organic wine and oil. Immediately after we sat down near the entrance where a table had been placed to taste three wines of their choice (merlot, chianti colli senesi 2018, vernaccia, vernaccia riserva and another igt) with cold cuts, bread with oil and cheeses. After the tasting, we bought 3 bottles (two chianti colli senesi and a vernaccia, really good and not at all acidic) at a good price (7€ each). Pleasant and recommended experience with good local products.

Friendly welcome for an informal wine tasting. The price of the wine is not cheap, but I think it is justified.
