A Winery Rooted in Tradition

Founded in 1870, Bodega Del Nero stands as one of the oldest wineries in Chinchon, a picturesque village in the Community of Madrid, just 45 km from the capital. This charming town, known for its rich history and stunning landscapes, provides the perfect backdrop for a winery that has been crafting exceptional wines for over 150 years. The family-owned winery has passed down its winemaking techniques through five generations, using traditional earthen jars that honor their ancestral roots. The thick walls of the winery maintain ideal temperature and humidity levels year-round, creating an optimal environment for aging and preserving their wines.

Exceptional Wines Crafted in Earthen Jars

Spanning 55 hectares, the vineyards of Bodega Del Nero thrive in the arid conditions of the Tajuna plain, where some of the oldest vines produce limited yet outstanding quality wines. The estate is home to grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Tinto Fino, Airen, and Malvar. The family employs organic farming methods, ensuring that their land remains free from chemical fertilizers. In the winery, they continue the time-honored practice of fermenting wine in earthen jars, which enhances the wine's aromatic profile. The clay material allows for a gentle exchange of oxygen, resulting in rich flavors and aromas. Bodega Del Nero produces wines under the Vinos de Madrid Denomination of Origin, earning numerous accolades for their quality and craftsmanship.

It's a shame I couldn't see your winery. It was a winter newspaper, and I didn't want to bother because the references were good. Yes, I bought your wine at the supermarket. I'll do it again some other time.

La Bodega de Nero offers a truly special and family-friendly experience. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed as part of the family. Wine tasting is one of the featured activities, where you not only taste excellent wines, but also enjoy a pleasant and fun atmosphere. The interlocutor who guides the tasting is exceptional, combining in-depth knowledge about the wines with a sense of humor that makes the experience even more pleasant. Their explanations on how to taste wine are clear and accessible, allowing all participants, both experts and novices, to fully enjoy each sip. Without a doubt, a visit that combines learning and fun in a welcoming environment. Highly recommended! At the end you can buy wine and sweets!!

A cozy place where you can buy good wine from Madrid at a reasonable price. Arsenio and his wife liven up the visits, transmitting good humor and friendliness. It is always a pleasure to travel those kilometers to fill my wine stock at home. In addition, Chinchon is a place with a special charm. Essential visit if you are in the area. Greetings from your Valdemoreños customers ;-)

We visited the winery today, Saturday, an old winery with a lot of charm, ideal with the explanation and tasting with its current owner Roberto. Very authentic. "Originality lies in returning to the origin" this family winery proves it. Thank you family for your effort!! We left delighted and loaded with a box of their best award-winning Valdeliceda wine. If you pass through Chinchón don't miss it!!!
