Resided in the most conventional winemaking hamlet named Colmenar de Oreja, the Solera winery has been producing delicious wines of Madrid for 200 years. The estate uses traditional and manual methods od wine production clubbed with advanced technologies. It has a bio certification in producing award-winning organic wines, made within the D.O Madrid region.

About 17 hectares of vineyards, some of them being 60 years old
The vineyards are stretched over an area of 17 hectares, out of which some vineyards are 60 years old. In the cultivation land, the owner grows two kinds of vines, using traditional farming tools that express the legacy of the family. The grapes include rich-quality Tempranillo and Malvar. After picking these grapes manually, the juiciest bunches are shifted to the wine cellar for fermentation. The winery produces certified organic wines, which include luscious red wines and white wines, all under the DO Madrid labels.
Modern cellar, where clay jars can be found for aging and refining the wines
Bordered by fig-trees, pines, rose bushes, and woods, the cellar is located on the Malcasado street, giving it a mesmerizing look. Inside the cellar, there are numerous clay jars to store wines for productive aging and refining. Apart from that, the cellar consists of stainless steel tanks, equipped with temperature control function, for high-quality fermentation. The French and American oak barrels, lined up in the line in the cellar, are used to keep vintages for maturation.
Bodegas Solera also has a small bottling room, located in the part of the estate. Today, the winery is part of the family of 45 other wineries, belonged to the Wines Denomination of Origin of Madrid.
