Very nice and warm welcome from the owner Santiago. It is a family business with delicious wines and he is also very creative in making his wines from granite. A visit and a tasting of the wines are definitely worth it!

We were recommended by another bodega in the Ribeira Sacra (Adega Vella) to visit Santiago Roma based on our preferences: well established, non-industrial and intimate experience. We experienced all of these and more. We had the pleasure of having Santiago Roma himself educate us on the wines, geographical influence and production of the winery. What truly sets him apart from all the rest though is his immense passion for what he does, his innovation, being better every day and his willingness to share it with us. It was a delight to meet Santiago Roma today and hear of his experiences making wine over the last 25 years. His passion for the land, the vines and the process are evident in the wines he produces. While we spoke different languages, I was able to understand what he's accomplished and what he intends for the future. Make an appointment and visit this great guy in a beautiful spot of Rias Baixas.

One of my very favourite Galician wine makers. Santiago is a legend, an example of with hard work and dedication you can get to the top of your specialist field. His wines are popular in several countries so many can learn from him about how to successfully export wine. His wines are traditional albariño so they have all those flavours and aromas of classic albariño. However although keeping the wine making process true to its past he has adopted modern wine making including innovative techniques like his own project design for a special wine elaborated in a purpose made granite stone vessel, that's Pedranai. The views on a clear day from the front of the winery are superb lolling out to Arousa estuary in the far distance. The tasting area next to his wine cellar is great for tasting albeit a bit small. I can strongly recommend a visit although Santiago doesn't speak much English.

We were walking around Galicia and were interested in getting to know the Santiago winery. We made an appointment in advance and when we arrived we caught Santiago pruning! A genius!! It's a very family project with incredible wines!! He explained everything to us about his wines and his plots. I think it's one of the most unique wineries in the Rias! Thank you very much for your time and for telling us all about your wines.
