Bodegas Tobia – a Winery Located in Rioja Alta
Bodegas Tobia is located in the town of Cuzcurrita del Río Tirón, in Rioja Alta – a medieval town famed by its river, near Haro and halfway between Logroño and Vitoria.
Following the footsteps of his ancestors, the owner of Bodegas Tobia is producing luscious wines under the D.O.Ca. Rioja designation.
After completing his training as an oenologist in 1994, Óscar Tobía dreamt about establishing his own winery. Later in 2004, he, along with Ana Castelló, built Bodegas Tobía. The grandparents of Óscar were also winemakers San Asensio, near Las Cuevas. Today, following the footsteps of his ancestors, Óscar Tobia is producing luscious wines under the D.O.Ca. Rioja status. The types of wines the estate produces include delectable red and white wines, in combination with high-quality rosé wines. In 2010, the owner shifted the management to a new winery in Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, also in La Rioja Alta. With a great passion for quality, the latest estate is equipped with modern machinery to enhance the texture, aromas, and flavors in their wines.
