Witness a unique geological conformation called Paradis der Some (Paradise of Donkeys).

Borgogna Rivata, a Different Kind of Winery

A young winery based on a small production representative of the territory of Langhe and Roero but free from the limiting dictates of tradition.

The Winemaking Union between Two Brothers

In 2010, two brothers-in-law Alberto and Massimo, decided to merge their companies and found Borgogno Rivata. Both of them dedicated themselves full-time to the land. The vineyards expand up to 40 hectares in La Morra, out of which five hectares are for the cultivation of unique vines. In 30 hectares, they grow cerealsa and wheat. Orchards of pears, apples, hazelnuts and plums cover up to five hectares of land. This winery works in tradition but with the most advanced technologies and at their vineyard they look with a sustainable mindset.

The Donkeys Paradise

Their estate is located halfway up the Guarene hill, where you can explore a particular geological formation called Paradis der Some. This „donkeys paradise” is a cleft cutting the entire height of the hill. The aim of Borgogno Rivata Winery is to harvest healthy, ripe vines with excellent organoleptic characteristics. In the cellar the grapes from Barolo, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera are vinified into outstanding red wines and Favorita and Arneis to harmonious white wines. Along with these rich, quality wines, they produce Pear Cider that possesses unique, fizzy, and low-alcoholic characterisitcs in the drink, Sidrè. If you are a dedicated wine enthusiast and curious on a unconvential wine style come and visit the cellar of Borgogno Rivata and find out how the winery works and taste some of their luscious wines.
