Located just a few meters from the world-famous Pompeii Archaeological Park, Bosco de’ Medici is more than a winery; it is a journey through time. Our estate sits on fertile volcanic soil that has been nurtured for centuries, offering a bridge between the ancient winemaking traditions of the Roman Empire and contemporary excellence.

At the foot of Mount Vesuvius, our vineyards thrive in a unique microclimate. We specialize in the preservation and exaltation of indigenous grape varieties, most notably Piedirosso and Caprettone. These grapes draw their character from the mineral-rich ash and pumice of the 79 AD eruption, resulting in wines with distinct sapidity, elegance, and soul.

A visit to Bosco de’ Medici is a multi-sensory immersion. Guests can explore:

  • The Experimental Vineyard: Where we utilize ancient Roman cultivation techniques alongside modern organic practices.
  • The Necropolis: Our estate houses an authentic 1st-century BC Roman necropolis, offering a rare glimpse into the past.
  • Farm-to-Table Excellence: Our kitchen celebrates the "Vesuvian Orto" (vegetable garden), pairing our Lacryma Christi and Pompeiano IGT wines with traditional dishes made from local, seasonal ingredients.

Whether you are a history buff, a dedicated oenophile, or a traveler seeking the peaceful beauty of the Italian countryside, Bosco de’ Medici welcomes you to taste the history of Pompeii in every glass.

The perfect location! We chose this breathtaking venue for our wedding and couldn't have made a better choice. Besides the beauty of the location, it was the professionalism of the staff that truly made the difference: attentive, helpful, and always ready to fulfill all our wishes with discretion and expertise. From the organization down to the smallest detail, everything was handled with precision and passion, allowing us to experience our special day with complete peace of mind. We always felt accompanied by true professionals who are wholeheartedly dedicated to their work. I would like to thank the entire team, especially the director, Gabriele, who supported us with great professionalism and passion from beginning to end and helped us organize our big day perfectly. A special thank you also goes to Rosaria, the consultant from Bosco de Medici. She took care of every detail with patience and dedication. I couldn't have wished for anything better; highly recommended! We will be back! Best regards, Sara and Riccardo.

We had a fantastic experience at the vineyard — a perfect blend of beautiful scenery, delicious wine, and warm hospitality. Our tour began with Virginia, who guided us through the vineyard and shared its rich history with us. She was knowledgeable and passionate, which made the tour both engaging and informative. Afterwards, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting hosted by Maddalena. She brought such great energy to the experience — fun, friendly, and full of insight. She took the time to explain the winemaking process in more detail, answering all our questions and making it a truly enjoyable session for both me and my husband. The wines were exceptional, each one with its own character, and the food paired with them was absolutely delicious. This visit was a highlight of our trip — we left with a greater appreciation for the craft and some incredible memories. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

An unforgettable experience amidst vineyards and history. Our visit to Bosco de' Medici was simply exceptional. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed by a friendly, professional team, passionate about their land and their wine. The location is unbeatable: surrounded by vineyards with views of Mount Vesuvius and just a few meters from the archaeological site of Pompeii, giving the experience added cultural and emotional value. The tour of the winery was interesting and very well guided, with clear explanations about the production of their wines and their connection to Roman history. The tasting was perfectly paired with a spectacular Km 0 menu: local cured meats and cheeses, Neapolitan fried "cuoppo," summer parmigiana, spaghetti with zucchini and provolone, and an unforgettable tiramisu. All accompanied by four wines with great character and a very refreshing sparkling wine. A perfect plan for lovers of wine, gastronomy, and history. Thank you for making it so special for our family. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful wine tasting at Bosco de’ Medici! The wines were outstanding and paired with a flavorful multi-course menu. We also had a guided tour of the vineyard beforehand, which was very interesting and informative. Our sommelier Giuseppe was fantastic – professional, kind, and very passionate about the wines. In fact, all the staff were extremely friendly and created a warm atmosphere. You really notice they enjoy their work. Absolutely worth a visit!
