Crafting Elegant Wines with Passion at I Cacciagalli

I Cacciagalli is a thriving winery located in the northern region of Caserta, atop the stunning Roccamonfina volcano. This area, known as Campania Felix, has a rich history of producing exceptional wines. The estate is run by Diana Iannaccone, a dedicated agronomist, and her husband Marco Basco, a wine enthusiast. Together, they share a commitment to creating authentic and expressive wines. Diana employs non-invasive cultivation methods to honor the land, resulting in wines that truly reflect their terroir.

The Unique Terroir of I Cacciagalli

The name "I Cacciagalli" is derived from the land that has been in Diana's family for generations. This fertile territory is home to vineyards, hazelnut trees, chestnut groves, and olive orchards. Surrounded by lush woodlands and abundant water sources, the estate spans 350 hectares, divided into nine vineyard sections. The volcanic soil, rich in minerals, combined with a mild climate, creates ideal conditions for high-quality grape production. The dedication of the vineyard workers is evident in the elegant and aromatic flavors of the wines.

Biodynamic Practices for Authentic Wines

I Cacciagalli embraces biodynamic agriculture to strengthen its connection to the land while honoring nature's rhythms. This method enhances soil fertility and highlights the unique characteristics of the region. The wines produced here are a testament to traditional practices passed down through generations, resulting in distinct personalities and flavors that reflect the essence of the land.

IMPRESSIVE The Phos wine is breathtakingly good. It is matured in amphorae and is worth a visit.

I chose this structure to celebrate my 40th birthday, entrusting the event entirely to the Director Giovanni Diodato, to whom I gave free rein to choose the menu and the accompanying wines. I was delighted and so were my guests. The rooms are well kept, the service is attentive and the staff very pleasant. The cuisine is straightforward, without too many frills and with well thought-out combinations but above all delicious and intuitive on the palate. The wines are their flagship and the idea of honouring the guests with one of their jewels was something that everyone appreciated. The outdoor spaces allow children to have fun safely, without forcing them to have long lunches at the table. Special mention to the Director, professional but equally familiar and affable. There will be no shortage of opportunities to visit him again.

A wonderful wine resort. The interior and exterior spaces are immaculately maintained. The gardens are meticulously designed down to the last detail. The sensory experience of high-quality wines was accompanied by dishes prepared with attention to detail, balanced and delicate. The Genoese ziti is excellent. Friendly and efficient staff: despite two events in the room and one on the veranda, the service was impeccable. I haven't been there yet and can't rate the service.

Outstanding! The resort itself is stunning. Buildings are full of characters and rooms are super new and extremely clean. Restaurant offers a small menu with a great choice of food with ingredients from their own land or from the farms nearby all cooked fantastically. Our baccalà to start, was divine and so was the linguine and the cheese at the end. Portions were perfect with cheese course very generous. If that wasn't enough, the staff is incredible, they are the added value to this venue. The Director, Giovanni, knows what he's doing. He always has a smile and doesn't leave anything to chance, making sure every little detail is perfect. Max from the restaurant is extremely professional, knowledgeable and attentive without being obsessive or intrusive or constantly at the table. He appears from nowhere, he'll change your cutlery, fill up your glass, he asks if everything is ok and moves away but he's always somewhere to be seen if you need him. Bravo! Same is for Alessia at breakfast and Paola at reception and so are the cleaners always with a smile on their face. They all go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect and so it was for us. Beyond our best expectations. Worth every penny. We can't wait to visit you again very very soon. Grazie!
