Biodynamic Practices for Sustainable Winemaking
Spanning approximately two hectares, the terraced vineyards at Le Vigne di Raito are cultivated using traditional Amalfi Coast methods, including the macere technique. The vineyards are interspersed with Mediterranean flora such as oaks, olive trees, myrtles, pomegranates, and strawberry trees. With around 3,500 plants per hectare, the estate is committed to sustainable practices, earning biodynamic certification through its organic farming methods.
Hand-harvesting is the norm here, with no fertilizers or chemicals used in the process.
Wines that Reflect the Terroir
The primary grape varieties cultivated at Le Vigne di Raito are Aglianico and Piedrosso, which are used to produce their Costa d’Amalfi DOC wines through the Gayot method. Each year, the winery produces approximately 6,000 bottles, including their signature Ragis red wine and Vitamenia rosé. The absence of chemicals and additives allows the wines to showcase a natural fruity flavor, complemented by a robust taste and intense aroma. These wines are a true representation of the terroir and the dedication to quality winemaking.
