Le Vigne di Raito - A Gem of Art and Wine in Campania

Located in the picturesque town of Raito, Le Vigne di Raito winery is renowned for its artistic heritage and exquisite ceramic craftsmanship. Established in 2001 by Patrizia Malanga, this winery offers breathtaking views of the sea, surrounded by lush lemon orchards and fruit trees. Visitors are warmly welcomed to experience the beauty of the estate and learn about the art of winemaking in this unique setting.

Biodynamic Practices for Sustainable Winemaking

Spanning approximately two hectares, the terraced vineyards at Le Vigne di Raito are cultivated using traditional Amalfi Coast methods, including the macere technique. The vineyards are interspersed with Mediterranean flora such as oaks, olive trees, myrtles, pomegranates, and strawberry trees. With around 3,500 plants per hectare, the estate is committed to sustainable practices, earning biodynamic certification through its organic farming methods.

Hand-harvesting is the norm here, with no fertilizers or chemicals used in the process.

Wines that Reflect the Terroir

The primary grape varieties cultivated at Le Vigne di Raito are Aglianico and Piedrosso, which are used to produce their Costa d’Amalfi DOC wines through the Gayot method. Each year, the winery produces approximately 6,000 bottles, including their signature Ragis red wine and Vitamenia rosé. The absence of chemicals and additives allows the wines to showcase a natural fruity flavor, complemented by a robust taste and intense aroma. These wines are a true representation of the terroir and the dedication to quality winemaking.

A wonderful experience! And a little oasis on hot days! The tour covered wine, of course, but also plants, fruit, agriculture in general... Very professional, but still personal.

Hands down the best day I had in Italy was doing this tour. The tour was brilliant and Alfonso was very friendly and informative. We did the package that included nibbles I'm the afternoon and the food & wine was lovely - was worth every penny. We spent most of the afternoon there and didn't feel rushed to leave in any way.

Wonderful place immersed in the nature and greenery of the Amalfi Coast. Located a few kilometers from Salerno, it is easily accessible both by car and by public transport. The company is wonderful, with a view of the sea which makes the walk through the vineyard a unique experience. The staff is super trained, super friendly and attentive to every little detail. With so much sympathy and kindness, it will immerse you even more in this experience, making you feel at home. I highly recommend it, absolutely! I'll be back soon!

Visited towards the end of our holiday and it was definitely a highlight. We did the vineyard tour, and a wine tasting with lunch. The host Alfonso was excellent; very relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable, and definitely delivered when it came to topping up the glasses of wine. We tasted two reds and a rose (white grapes only just planted), and all the wines were incredible. The wines also paired perfectly with each course of the lunch. The food was locally produced, tasty, and portioned perfectly. Needed as the wine servings were very generous for a tasting! Finished off with a few small glasses of limoncello cream liqueur. Would definitely recommend, it has beautiful views of the coast as you ate, and was an intimate affair. Lovely to meet Patrizia the owner too.

Our second visit to Le Vigne di Raito was just as exceptional as the first. Alfonso's informative wine tour and the intimate lunch that followed at the residence truly makes this experience special. Patrizia, the owner, welcomes you like a friend into her home. The wine is fantastic, and we’re eagerly anticipating the addition of their white wine. Can’t wait to return again soon!

We were there last year and I seem to have forgotten to write a review. Since we had a perfect tour with Alfonso, I would like to do so now. We were able to book a tour relatively spontaneously and it was even possible at short notice for the food to be prepared for us without meat or fish. The wines and the food were delicious and everything was lovingly prepared. Alfonso was very friendly and funny. We would come back any time! It was a really great experience and an absolute highlight of our vacation on the Amalfi Coast. We took 2 bottles of wine home with us because we really enjoyed the wine. Thank you very much.

Very nice, pretty and cozy place. The owner and her daughter were very kind and immersed us in their world of organic wine. Good wine, light lunch too. Relaxing sea view. The only drawback is the cost and parking (which cost us a fine)
