Can Axartell Winery

A magnificent experience visiting and wine tasting at Can Axartell in Mallorca. The architecture alone is worth the visit, plus the privileged setting and, of course, the fantastic wines and oil. They use a sustainable gravity method, and the results are spectacular (whites, reds, rosés, sweets, etc.). Special thanks to Maria Garcia, who was an exceptional host.

I went with some very fun friends and I knew I would have a good time, but in the end it was more beautiful than I expected. The winery left me speechless, the girl who accompanied us was very nice and excellent at her job! The most beautiful time was trying the wines from the winery accompanied by other products from Mallorca. I love the wine from the winery as well as the guy. This winery will stay in my memories! I give 10 points!!! I will repeat again for sure 🫶🏻

Very nice winery with an exciting tour and a great tasting. The red wines are typically Mallorcan and really solid, the rosé is also very tasty. Unfortunately, we weren't so impressed with the white wine.

We went on a lovely tour of Can Axartell with Maria, including a wine tasting, for €50 per person. We booked the slot very easily online. Maria showed us the entire production facility and the storage halls and explained a lot. At the end we were able to try five wines. A white wine, a rosé, one of the young red wines and two other red wines that had been aged in barriques. There was also a good selection of cheeses with bread, the property's own olive oil and then small Spanish pizzas. We spent a leisurely afternoon here for over 3.5 hours and can only recommend it. Thank you Maria for the warm welcome and the good insight into Can Axartell.

A fantastic bodega. Great location, fantastic property, stunning topography, and a great building. You can tell they're putting their ideas into practice here. The owner deserves respect for that. The tour wasn't all that great. The lady from Germany did a good job, but it seemed a bit overworked, as if she were more of a marketing person. Questions remained unanswered or were dealt with superficially. The wines served were interesting and well-crafted, but their selection didn't suit my personal taste. A few days later, I bought a white wine that was still impressive at home.

Another level...!!! Both in wines and in the design of the winery. I have had the privilege of being at a wine tasting and it has been excellent. The welcome and treatment by Sebastià has been exquisite and very professional. The visit to the winery has been a great experience both sensorially and visually.

The building is amazing, the way it is constructed in the mountain. We got a tour and a great explanation about the different wines and how it is being made. After the tour we had a tasting outside, where we were able to taste great wines and got excellent explanations.

I was lucky to have been able to visit the inside of their cellars. We enjoyed a pairing with their excellent wines and a totally vegan menu by chef Svenja Gallé. It was quite a spectacle.

The winery of the Can Axartell winery was rebuilt around an old quarry and is the heart of the organic winery in the Fangar Valley near Pollensa. The valley opening to the northeast creates a local climate effect that ensures the wind and ventilation of the vineyards. That's what I call holistic thinking: pesticides are no longer necessary! In combination with the hillside location of the winery, this creates unique conditions for producing wines using the "Metode Gravetat". The 6-wine sample then delivered with Rosado, 2x white and 3x red, which was something to be excited about given the enormous effort involved. My favorite of the whites is the cuvée of Malvasia and PremsalBlanc. The pale straw color is deceptive at first glance, but when the wine smells of citrus and convinces with complex stone fruit aromas, everyone is sure to be delighted. With 5.7 g acidity/liter, it is a wonderfully fresh Blanco. And once again it is the Tinto that starts the red wine menu and I liked it so much that it has all my sympathies. The Mantonegro and Callet grape varieties native to the island form the basic structure, rounded off by Syrah and small amounts of Pinot Noir. Apart from the Callet, no other wine was in the wooden barrel. And that suits the fruity, yet strong red wine excellently.

A young winery that combines tradition with modernity and sustainability. The visit and the tasting will not leave you indifferent, as will the architecture and the gravity method for making wine. Highly recommended.

This is truly one of the best wineries in Mallorca most especially because it is entirely ecological. The private tasting with tapas is worth every centimo,Nuria is a charming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, where no question or request is any trouble. We tasted 6 wines and bought several of each one. The architecture is truly magnificent with shades of Gaudi. Non pretentious yet stunningly brilliant across every area. Just go.
