Vinyes Mortitx, On the Island of Mallorca, Since 2001
Vinyes Mortitx is a winery located on the island of Mallorca in Spain. The winery was formed as a part of a passaion project between a group of true wine lovers in 2001 with the objective to produce the highest quality wine on the island. At present, Vinyes Mortitx Winery has 53 members in the winemaking group.
The Vinyes Mortitx Winery owns 19 hectares of vineyards, producing roughly 100,000 bottles of wine every year.
Growning Various Varieties in the Vineyards Including Malvasia, Chardonnay, Muscat, Riesling, and Syrah
The vineyard at Vinyes Mortitx are the most important part of the winery. They lie in a unique landscape, surrounded by mountains 400 meters aboe sea level and only one kilometer from the sea. This creates a unique microclimate that is suitable for grape cultivation. Vinyes Mortitx owns 19 hectares of vineyards prodcuing roughlt 100,000 bottles of wine annually. Vinyes Mortitx grows various grape varieties in the vineyards such as Malvasia, Chardonnay, Muscat, Giró Ros, Riesling, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Monastrell, Gorgollassa, and Callet. They produce red, white, rosé, and dessert wine in the cellar. All of their winemaking processes are carried out inside the winery facility which was built in 2005. Vinyes Mortitx Winery uses modern technology and materials in their winemaking process which ensures maximum control.
