Back to the Very Beginning

Cantina Pietreionne is nestled in Ponte, a charming town in the Sannio region of Campania, Italy, with a history that stretches back to Roman times. The winery's name pays homage to the ancient Roman bridge "Ad Pontem Lapideum," which once connected Rome and Benevento along the Via Latina. This historic site is where our vineyards have flourished for over four generations, producing wines that reflect the rich heritage of the land.

From the Winemaker

Oenologist Daniele Giovanni Corbo believes that "a wine truly becomes one when it conveys feelings." This philosophy stems from his lifelong passion for winemaking, a love that has been nurtured through family traditions. His deep connection to the land has shaped the distinctive character of Falanghina, one of Sannio's most celebrated grape varieties. This grape is not only the foundation of our wines but also plays a crucial role in our innovative projects, including both Crus and sparkling wines crafted using the Classic Method.

At Cantina Pietreionne, we invite wine lovers to appreciate the unique flavors and stories behind each bottle, reflecting the essence of our beloved Campania region.

Wonderful experience. In the Pietreionne winery you can breathe an intimate atmosphere far from the usual commercial gimmicks. The wines are tasted with all five senses, allowing you to appreciate every single nuance of an exceptional product. It is also useful to know all the theoretical aspects related to winemaking.

Everything was wonderful, Daniele was very good and explained everything to us down to the smallest detail. We tasted three types of wines... what can I say, excellent products, definitely worth repeating.

Very kind staff, very high quality wine, excellent food. The experience was truly evocative and complete from every point of view, from the explanations in the vineyard, to the tasting of the various wines accompanied by the courses, up to the experience in the cellar. Highly recommended!

We visited the Pietreionne winery with the desire to explore the offer of good wines in an area closer to ours, having already had tasting experiences in the north. We were struck by the humble and enthusiastic welcome we received from the manager's assistant. He provided us with comprehensive information on the entire production process, from growing and harvesting the grapes, to pressing and fermentation. The moment of tasting included a choice of three wines: a Falanghina brut, a Falanghina and a Barbera. The collaborator delicately guided us in tasting each one and brought us a generous platter of zero kilometer dishes, all delicious, perfectly paired with the chosen wines, including the company's oil. We never felt rushed in the tasting and were able to appreciate the refined characteristics of each wine, more aware of what we were tasting, thanks to the previous explanations. I would not hesitate to recommend a visit to this little gem of an award-winning winery and we will be happy to return to try the agriturismo run by the same family.

Excellent wines, especially the Falanghina Classic Method Spumante, very rare to find in the area. Young, competent and kind owner. An experience absolutely worth trying is the tasting in the cellar with a walk through the vineyards, accompanied by the oenologist's explanation of the wines and the various phases of the vine and the different winemaking processes. Added to all this is the possibility of tasting their zero-mile products. I recommend everyone to visit this company.
