Cantine Guidi, established in 1929, is a family-owned winery with a rich history spanning over 92 years. Nestled in the picturesque Chianti hills between Siena and Florence, this region is renowned for its historic vineyards and exceptional wine production. The Guidi family dedicates their time and expertise to crafting distinctive wines that reflect the essence of Tuscany. ### From Vineyard to Bottle The winery encompasses approximately 35 hectares of vineyards, divided between its historic headquarters in Poggibonsi and two production areas. Here, you will find a blend of indigenous grape varieties such as Sangiovese and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, alongside international favorites like Merlot, Canaiolo, and Chardonnay. The wines of Cantine Guidi are celebrated for their elegance, drinkability, freshness, and adherence to local traditions. ### Meet the Guidi Family The winery is run by Giacomo, Avio, and Nicola, the pillars of Cantine Guidi. Giacomo oversees the production process from vineyard to cellar, ensuring quality at every step. Avio, the family patriarch, manages the winery's operations, while Nicola focuses on commercial development both in Italy and abroad. Together, they meticulously select grapes and employ advanced winemaking techniques to produce wines of the highest quality.

⭐ Catine Guidi - Tuscany, Italy As our final stop on a full-day wine tour, Catine Guidi was a bit of a letdown on taste and atmosphere, though we still appreciated the visit. With only a family friend present, we missed the warm, welcoming atmosphere we experienced at other vineyards. The wine was just okay, but the highlight of this visit was encountering the legendary black rooster—a true symbol of the region and Chianti wine. While it didn’t quite match up to our previous stops, the vineyard still offered a unique piece of Tuscany's rich wine culture.

We had an amazing time at our grape stomping experience! Arianna gave us a tour of the winery before we stomped on some grapes she had gotten from elsewhere as it was not harvest season in July. We even tried some of the juice we made! Afterward we had a wine tasting with handmade bruschetta and best part was Arianna was able to cater for me with gluten free bread and crackers

My husband and I and another couple had a wonderful day in Tuscany while traveling in Italy in early October 2023. This winery was our first stop, and it did not disappoint. Picturesque location, great ambience, and a great opportunity to taste and enjoy the famous Chianti Classico produced in this region. We enjoyed leaning the history of the family and the winery. If you have the opportunity, take the time to visit this lovely spot!
