Carpineto - Renowned for Exceptional Chianti Wines

Founded in 1967 by Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo, Carpineto winery has made a name for itself in the world of Chianti Classico DOCG wines. Their commitment to quality has earned them numerous awards and accolades from wine critics over the years.

With the support of their families, Carlo and Mario have preserved traditional winemaking techniques while integrating modern practices. Today, 95% of their production consists of red wines, complemented by a selection of white, rosé, dessert, and sparkling wines, all crafted under the Toscana IGT and Chianti DOCG classifications.

Growth and Modernization

Now in its second generation, Carpineto continues to honor its founders' legacy. The winery spans approximately 440 hectares, featuring both olive groves and vineyards. They have modernized viticulture and wine production across five estates located in Dudda, Gaville, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Gavorrano.

They cultivate premium Grechetto, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, alongside traditional Malvasia, Sangiovese, and Canaiolo. Additionally, they grow fruity Colorino, Sangiovese Grosso, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, allowing the unique terroir of Tuscany to shine through in every bottle.

Great tour of a classic vineyard in the eastern section of the DOC. A wonderful guide (English) who was knowledgeable without being over-bearing. When we visited, there was no charge for the tour and tasting...but reservations are required and walk-ups were not accommodated during our visit.

The Carpineto winery in Dudda is recent but well built, with a remarkable view of the vineyards and a beautiful barrel cellar to visit. Average tasting with some good wines, I recommend trying some crus in the tasting such as the noble reserve.

A small winery. I brought empty bottles here. The road there goes through the mountains, I thought I wouldn't get there. Don't miss any turns and turn around!! Unload quickly. Open one side of the plant and go around in circles. If the satnav shows the road along the SP66, don't go there, I thought I'd stay there.
