Casa Alle Vacche, Picturesque Winery Surrounded by Beautiful Nature
Casa Alle Vacche locates on a hill in the center of Tuscany, at a convenient distance from San Gimignano. A breathtaking landscape of Tuscan region surrounds this winery in an area particularly suitable for the cultivation of the grapes and olives. Due to the nature of the land and the ideal exposure, high quality grapes are harvested, which, vinified with wisdom, make it possible to obtain excellent wines.
Where Wine is Produced in the Former Cow Stable
The family has dedicated themselves to winemaking with big passion and diligence, from the cutlivation of the grapes, harvest through the vinification process. Silvano bought the company in the 1950s with one vineyard. Later, in 1986 Fernando and Lorenzo, sons of Silvano brought a wave of novelty to Ciappi family business. In literal, Casa Alle Vacche means “Home to the Cows.” The name is no coincidence but has a great historical reference. In the 1800s, the oldest building on the winery was a stable for the cows. This is evident from the arched ceilings with amazing architectural brickwork on the ground floor. Casa Alle Vacche evokes the simplicity, natural aspects, serenity, and hard work of the Ciappi Family.
