Artistry in Winemaking in Mendoza

Casa Vigil, located in the picturesque town of Maipú in Mendoza, Argentina, is a distinctive wine estate that draws inspiration from Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy." This enchanting winery invites visitors to appreciate the blend of local artistry, stunning landscapes, and the themes of hell, purgatory, and paradise as depicted in the poem.

Unique Features of Casa Vigil Winery

Founded by renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil and his wife, Casa Vigil is dedicated to producing exceptional wines while offering a unique wine tourism experience. Wine and Food Pairing at Casa Vigil

Casa Vigil consists of three distinct halls and tunnels, leading to ‘Hell,’ where barrels age and refine the wines. The winery also showcases a variety of artworks from local artists. The location is great. The tour was entertaining and interesting. The food was great and the wines were top-notch. We visited a few wineries on our trip. This was one of the absolute highlights for me. The food was also great. However, it was rather expensive by Argentinian standards. I would still recommend it to everyone.

Simply spectacular! Top-notch service, world-class food and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s really expensive but worth every penny. The wines served without skimping are top-notch and excellent. The 12-hour rib was delicious… I highly recommend it. Oh, they have their own IPA beer, which is also very good, and the olive pâté is incredible.

Experienced many times but confessed that I hoped for a restaurant with a Michelin star. A comida estava muito boa mas não espere nada espetacular. A melhor pedida para mim foi a empanada, que realmente é um espetáculo. Finally, no general value but a pena por ser na Casa El Enimigo e poder conhecer o la mundo de Alejandro Vigil.

The steak was great, the ribs were so tender they melted, and the dessert was amazing! The service was excellent even though the restaurant was packed, the waiter was very attentive.

We tried the “Sunsets at Casa Vigil” step-by-step menu. The food was all delicious, and the wine was also excellent. Then we took the guided tour. There was live music, and the staff was very friendly. We loved everything.

Experiência incrível, sem igual. Atendimento excellent, com ótima comida. Important: there is no value for money (menu tasting wine) and it is possible to choose a menu of 3 or 5 passes and compare the wine with wine (caso queira). Ainda ganhamos algumas degustações de brinde. Melhor costela que já comi na vida, gaúchos me desculpem, mas a do el.inimogo foi a melhor de todas!!

Casa Vigil has the ideal complement that combines gastronomy and good wines with unparalleled service. In my case, I had a three-course lunch with wine tasting. Upon arrival, I was able to try two wines at the reception and enjoyed the landscaping. Then I entered the lounge and again we tasted another complimentary wine. We tried local olive oil and various breads. The service continued with the consumption of the three dishes and then the guided tour took place. The food was exquisite and the menu is very varied for all types of tastes. The attention of the staff from moment one (arrival in the parking lot) to the end was excellent! It is one of the best points to highlight! A recommendation from Mendoza 🍷🍷 I had the opportunity to meet Ale Vigil, so that put the finishing touch to the visit!
