The vineyards of Viamonte, based in Vistalba, fall under the certified appellation region of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza.
The Winery is Managed by the Fourth Generation of Winemakers
Viamonte boasts a long family winemaking tradition for over 100 years. Established in 2007, by Arturo Celasso and his wife, today, the fourth generation handles the management and production of the winery. The couple has combined conventional grape growing methods with modern techniques to produce top-notch vines.
Distinct Soils which the Wines Reflect at Viamonte
Surrounded by three distinct soils, each contributing something unique to the grapes, the vineyards cultivate a large number of vines. Viamonte produces Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese, coupled with white varietals Sauvignon Blanc and Bonarda. The utmost care is taken in the vineyards as all grapes are manually picked to ensure the best berries make it to the cellar for cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Over the years, the cellar of Viamonte has seen many development phases to ensure the highest quality wines. Viamonte uses French oak barrels of 50,000 liter capacity for aging and storing of the grapes. The winery produces a large offering of high-end red and white wines. Viamonte also applies great effort and passion, along with the advantages that the Andes Mountains location offers to porduce superb Argentinian rosé wines.
