Carinae Winery is beautifully set among lush olive trees. The name "Carinae" is derived from the Latin term meaning "from Carina," inspired by the former owner's passion for astronomy. The Carina constellation, visible in the southern sky during summer nights, symbolizes the enchanting atmosphere of the estate, where wines are crafted with dedication and care.

A Touch of French Heritage

Brigitte and Philippe Subra relocated from France to Maipú in 1998. In 2003, they began their winemaking adventure with enthusiasm, albeit limited experience. With guidance from Michel Rolland’s team in Mendoza, they cultivated beautifully balanced vineyards and deepened their knowledge of oenology. Their efforts have been rewarded, as Carinae wines have garnered critical acclaim. In 2020, Brigitte and Philippe sold the winery to Agustina and Juan Ignacio, an Argentinian couple who continue to produce exceptional wines with a distinct local character. Today, Carinae offers two lines of wines: those with a French profile and those reflecting Argentinian traditions.

A small winery with an incredible history! The tasting was excellent, accompanied by a very good snack for two. We liked all the wines, but the Cabernet Franc surprised us. Very family atmosphere and a lot of kindness from Estefanía and Andrea! I'm waiting to return at harvest time.

Fantastic experience. Andrea welcomed us with great friendliness and professionalism, and showed how dedicated she is to the winery, explaining all the wines with great skill. We recommend it and will definitely be back.

A beautiful winery. We took the tour with a tasting of three wines and were captivated by the stories behind each one. Since we arrived the night before the harvest, we had to do the tour in two parts, as it wasn't possible to enter the winery. When we arrived the next day, they offered us a glass of wine and we continued with what was left over from the previous day. The staff was super welcoming and attentive.

We went there on Saturday (with a prior telephone reservation). We found a super warm and family-run winery. The picnic experience is the best. A basket with a bottle of delicious wine, some delicious empadas, some sandwiches, but above all the warmth of everyone who is part of this place: from the first employee to the owners, they have a sweetness, generosity and a unique warmth. Thank you very much! We will highly recommend them!
