18 years of Casavyc

The Casavyc wine project started as a dream of Claudio Sabatucci and Viviana Filocamo in 2002. The immediate aim of the winery was to make the best wines that reflect the gifted terroir of the Amiata hills without any compromises in quality. After almost 18 years of work, they make some of the best Tuscan wines that are adored by their customers all over the world. Elegance, distinctness, and originality are what makes their wine different from other companies.

Love and wisdom in the vineyards

Each wine is a product of hard work in the vineyards and the cellar. The incredible soil found here have extreme stony skeleton content along with volcanic mineral content. This works well with the microclimate to provide ideal conditions for viticulture. Each batch of grapes is harvested individually and vinified separately to make sure each grape type receives the right fermentation and ageing time. Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Semillon, Grenache, and Sauvignon grape are used to make their red, white, rose, and sparkling wines.

The winery’s goal to make elegant wines in limited quantities need the right combination of will, hard work, and technique. They take inspiration from French methods like Bordolais, Cote du Rhone, and Burgundy and adapt them according to their needs and requirements. A lot of attention is given to everything because even a small difference can create different characteristics for the same wine. Many of their top wines are used to make unique, high-quality blends. Guests can tour the estate and take part in normal and vertical wine tastings.
