Story of the winery
The story of the Falleta Winery began in 1881 by Marchesa Virginia. Today, Elena Novarino and Giovanni Rosso, the current owners, writing the new story of winemaking while preserving the traces of the past. In 1957, the winery was awarded 500,000 Lira (around $67770) for being the winery of excellence. Now, from floors to ceilings to furniture, Elena has renovated everything, keeping the ancient touch alive. Moreover, the estate has extended its functionality to host weddings and meetings on a large terrace area, overlooking the lush countryside.
Elena, along with her staff, practices sustainable viticulture methods in the vineyards. They cultivate top-quality Barbera, Monferrato Rosso, Grignolino, and Pinot Nero, together with unique Chardonnay and Spumante, giving birth to some of the exquisite gems of Cascina Faletta. Every vintage has a history. For example, Pinot Nero is named as 3 Fucili in reference to 3 crossed rifles found in the darkroom of the winery. One of the sparkling wine is named after the first owner of the castle, Marchesa Virginia.
