Established in 1924, a family-run winery in Piedmont with five generations of tradition.
Cavalier Bartolomeo: A Family Tradition Since 1924
Cavalier Bartolomeo was founded in 1924 by Bartolomeo Borgogno, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for a humble, family-run winery in Garbelletto, not far from Barolo. For five generations, the Borgogno family has cultivated their land with care and respect, always honoring the traditions passed down over time. Each vine tended and each bottle produced carries a piece of their family history. For them, winemaking is not just a profession—it is a way of life, shaped by the seasons and a deep connection to the land.
A Warm Welcome and Wines from the Heart
Today, the winery is run by Dario, his wife Maria, and their son Alex. Visitors are welcomed as friends and invited to explore the vineyards and cellar, guided by the family themselves. Cavalier Bartolomeo proudly produces D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. wines that reflect the authenticity of their territory—Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Rosso, and three Barolos: Altenasso, San Lorenzo, and Fiasco Riserva. The range is completed by Barolo Chinato and Grappa di Barolo.
