Champagne Baron-Fuenté: A Rich Heritage

Located in the heart of the Champagne region, Champagne Baron-Fuenté has a history that dates back to the 17th century. The winery's story began in 1961 when Gabriel Baron married Dolorès Fuenté, the daughter of Spanish immigrants. As a wedding gift, Gabriel received one hectare of vineyards from his father. By 1967, the couple established the Baron-Fuenté house, marking the beginning of their winemaking journey.

A Family Tradition

Champagne Baron-Fuenté is a family-run winery that has seen generations contribute to its success. In 1982, their daughter Sophie joined the team, followed by her brother Ignace in 1992. At that time, the winery had 13 hectares of vineyards along the Marne River. Today, the estate has expanded to 38 hectares, producing wines that are well-respected among wine enthusiasts. The cellar master and Ignace oversee the production of all their Champagnes, ensuring quality and consistency.

Exceptional Champagne Cuvées

The winery offers a diverse selection of Champagnes, including four distinct cuvées: the Grands Cépages range, the Esprit range, the Classic range, and the Organic range. Each Champagne is crafted with care, showcasing fruity flavors and aromatic profiles, thanks to the winery's low-temperature production methods. The estate primarily uses Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir grapes, resulting in high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Champagne Baron-Fuenté welcomes visitors for wine tours and tastings, providing an excellent opportunity to sample their remarkable cuvées.

La Grande Réserve is a champagne to be drunk without moderation, the price quality is undeniable. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have accompanied many friends who have left their champagne for Baron Fuenté. The after-effects of a holiday without a headache are royal.
