Quinta da Chouza Agroturismo e Enoturismo now offers a new space in its tourism offerings: a WINE CELLAR/TASTING ROOM. It was conceived and designed to cater to an increasingly versatile and eclectic audience interested in learning more about the wines produced on the property and in the region, but also to promote the Vinho Verde product from the Basto sub-region.

The CHÃO DO RIO wines, based on the Alvarinho, Trajadura, Arinto and Padeiro grape varieties, which have already earned high regional and national prestige, can be tasted here. Aware of the new demands of the market, Quinta da Chouza has developed a series of fruitful experiments, seeking to diversify and expand its offer, with the creation of new references, particularly in the area of ​​Rosé wines, namely, from the Padeiro Basto grape variety, to which sparkling wines will certainly be added.

The wine cellar/tasting room, located within the Quinta, thus provides a space correctly integrated into the landscape, where fruitful symposiums can be developed, which will certainly include vertical tastings of the Quinta's wines and sparkling wines, complemented by visits to learn about, in particular, the vineyard, the grape varieties, the winery and the behind-the-scenes aspects of wine production. In this sense, it is our aim that Quinta da Chouza becomes a benchmark destination and a key element in regional tourism promotion.

The sparkling wines, CHÃO DO RIO, originating from the estate's grape varieties at different stages of ripeness, allow us to obtain wines of great finesse, structure, and high persistence on the palate, with long-lasting aromas, making them suitable for enjoyment at different times. White sparkling wines: brut, reserve, and super reserve; rosé wines: brut reserve and semi-dry reserve.
