Founded in 1996, we're passionate about sharing the exceptional Vinhos Verdes from the beautiful Baião sub-region.

We invite you to join us on a delightful journey. After a warm welcome, we'll begin with an easy, scenic walk among the lush Alvarinho vines that grace our estate.
You'll be immersed in Baião's rich biodiversity, with majestic oaks and chestnut trees providing a stunning backdrop. Keep an eye (and ear!) out for the local birdlife – you might spot the Great Spotted Woodpecker, the Red-breasted Robin, or the vibrant Euroasian Jay.
Next, we'll step inside to explore the winemaking process. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at our bottling line, witnessing each stage – from filling to labeling and boxing – before arriving at our tasting room.
Our tasting room, designed for up to 10 guests, offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere year-round. It's air-conditioned and features large windows that frame the breathtaking Douro Verde landscape, ensuring a memorable tasting experience.
For larger groups, we can accommodate you, subject to availability and weather conditions.
We also welcome families! We offer juice tastings and fun activities like painting for children and young people.
And, weather permitting, we can even enjoy our wine tasting in the serene garden surrounding our pool.
We look forward to sharing our passion for wine and the beauty of Baião with you!

A Quinta das Hortas é uma referência em Baião para eventsos, com salões enormouses, serviço excellente com pessoal super motivado para servir bem. O bacalhau, cozido à portuguesa eo anho assado com arroz do forno são pratos divinais que deixam or cliente super satisfeito. As entradas, as sobremesas and os vinhos preenchem or cardápio. Situado muito cerca do Rio Douro completam um passeio e cenário agradável para um passeio em família

Visiting from Australia, We had a fantastic, near 3 hour guided tour through the vines, production plant and tasting room last week. Thank you to Leonel and the wider team for making our day with such an in-depth tour to learn about the Douro as well as wider Portuguese wine and life. The wines are magnificent and amazing value.

Welcoming space. Staff always available and attentive. Easy access and parking. Delicious food. Not forgetting the Bailarico (dance party) for those who want to exercise, it's worth a week of physiotherapy 👏 The view from the room is stunning 😊

Fantastic place! Visited with my family, we were received by their adorable manager Leonel, who walked us through their venue and prepared a lovely tasting on the garden. He is passionate about it and dedicates himself fully to the guests. Obrigado!!!
