The Sapateiro Winery
Located in the picturesque region of Vinho Verde, the Sapateiro Boutique Winery spans 5 hectares in Tabuado, Marco de Canaveses. This charming estate features vineyards, fruit trees, and a wine cellar, all set against a stunning backdrop of the city. Tiago and Silvi, a dynamic young couple, manage the winery with a commitment to preserving the region's authenticity while incorporating modern techniques to enhance the wine experience.
Winemaking Practices at the Winery
Each bottle produced at Sapateiro is individually numbered, reflecting the winery's dedication to small-batch production. With an annual output of approximately 15,000 bottles, the winery offers over ten unique wines, crafted through meticulous micro-vinification techniques. Due to their limited availability, some wines may sell out quickly, making each visit a potential opportunity to taste something special.

For wine lovers, this is a must-visit place! The experience becomes even better because you first learn about all the processes and history of the winery and then get to know it in practice by tasting the super well-made wines accompanied by cold cuts or foods that pair perfectly!

Highly recommended! We loved the wine tasting, very good quality wines (which they make themselves) and the accompaniment of cheeses and nuts was very abundant and carefully prepared. Tiago is an exemplary host, who makes you feel welcome in his home and shares his passion for his work. The views are impressive. Really, it's worth it!

The experience was simply exquisite! Everything from the unique wines to the delicious homey food they served us and the courtesy with which they received us last minute!! The vineyard is really well located and the installations are well maintained. We were really enchanted by the couples service and kindness. Recommend 10/10. (My favourite service food wise was the smoked sausage with quail egg 😋)

Wow! What a beautiful unexpected visit. We booked at the last minute and were very happy to have had the opportunity to join Sylvie our guide. Very interesting and informative. Not to mention the wines which were all delicious and different. We let down our barriers on the 'vinos verdes'. Very nice succession for the future of this young vineyard. We wish them much success. Thank you very much Sylvie for this beautiful meeting and discoveries.

We arrived at the winery by motorbike without an appointment. The owner greeted us very kindly and, with great regret, told us that he could not give us the tour because he was fully booked. He explained the programme to us in detail and rescheduled us for another date. Surprisingly, as compensation, he gave us a bottle of his vintage and it was really thoughtful. We hope to return soon.
