Château Bellevue La Forêt

Me and my boyfriend had a tour in the beginning of June 2023 and it was lovely. :)

The tavern is nice and has background music from the 80s, creating a great atmosphere. There's no menu, but there's an à la carte steak for €24, which is very good, as well as the boneless marinated grilled chicken for €14, which is also very good, and don't forget the house punch. Payment upon ordering.

We visited the castle on a sunny day (a group of 30 people). It was an excellent tour. Tania explained every detail of the winemaking process perfectly (her English was excellent). And of course, we did a wine tasting at the end (8 different wines), which I really enjoyed. THANK YOU!

A very warm welcome, and there's nothing to say about the tasting. Two white wines, a rosé, and several red wines that will delight the palate.

We dined with friends; the place is very pleasant and full of little spaces to relax. The meat is simply excellent. We had beef (rib steak and rib steak), the quality was very good, and the cuisine was perfect. The bonus is the price, really not expensive. The bottle of wine is available at the price of the château, and the dishes are very reasonable. I confirm.

A high-quality Fronton wine, with aromas of black fruits, Negrette, and Syrah grape varieties, is worth a detour. From Bellevue la Forêt, the classic Forêt Royale, and of course, the red wines offer the perfect, sumptuous velvet on the palate. For connoisseurs, there are also excellent white and rosé wines. Visit the château; you won't regret it; the prices are affordable.

It’s always a bit of a lottery when buying wine… just because the label looks elegant and traditional, doesn’t mean the contents are going to be good. That said, I was very pleasantly impressed with the 2020 vintage red. I got it for €5.99 at Edeka in Germany, and for this price point, I find it excellent. It’s not too heavy, not too acidic. It has a refreshing tangy-ness with hints of berry and gentle, savory/earthy tones. I get the feeling this is one of those wines that will get better with a little age. Maybe I’ll get a few bottles, and stash them in the wine cellar for a year or 2…

We were a group of 13 colleagues and stopped here for a tasting of the unique wines produced here. The setting was beautiful, the staff was very attentive, and the wines great. The only thing I would add is an in-house English speaking person.
