The Château de Panisseau, a 106-hectare wine estate, is located 20 minutes from Bergerac and 15 minutes from Eymet, between the Gironde and Dordogne rivers. It was built by the English during the Fourth Crusade, shortly before 1200. Maintained by its various owners, this château, whose architecture was remodeled during the Renaissance, is above all a testament to feudal Périgord architecture.

Come and discover the estate, its history, its vineyard and its winery during a tasting. An unforgettable experience!

We took a FABULOUS tour with hostess Suzie. We started in the vineyard, to the making of the wine, met the owner of the Chateau and finished with an amazing wine tasting. Even made new friends! This was truly a great experience which I cannot recommend more highly. Do not miss. We will be back.

My husband and I visited Chateau De Panisseau in October 2025, late afternoon, ,un announced in our motor home we were greeted by the owners who arranged for us to have a free wine tasting. A lady called Suzie who spoke very good English gave us a delicious variety of the chateau’s wine…. We bought lots!!! As the afternoon was getting late Suzie offered for us to stay the night on site with our motor home👍 we were delighted as that meant we could drink more wine 🤣. We pitched up at the side of the leafy vineyards with full access to the Chateau grounds toilet a shower facilities we even was given electric! We paid 25 euros for the night which was amazing! We cooked dinner, walked the dogs around the peaceful wastage and didn’t meet anyone. What an amazing experience feeling

Just been to chateau panisseau for there wine tour , tasting and picnic lunch . The tour is interesting and very informative, the wine tasting is again informative with good wine, followed by the picnic lunch in the old chateau, an incredible ambience, in the banquet hall The picnic was fabulous with traditional cuisine of the Perigordregion, including the wine from chateau panisseau. We took a group of 8 with us, and would highly reccomend this to everyone, Audouin and Claire are the proprietors Suzy who was our tour guide , were absolutely amazing, thankyou for a great day . What a great insight into the wine making process! 'A' gave us a tour that included the vineyard, the processing and an intro to the château. He was extremely knowledgeable, for those of us whose French could be better, his English was perfect. The tasting post tour was also great. The wine is fantastic and very reasonable. We took three kids 10-13 yrs who also found it engaging. Whilst we didn't stay here they do have accommodation and the chateau would be the perfect wedding venue. Ring to book, we didn't but were lucky! Highly recommend a visit. Easy bike ride from Pomport Beach.
