Château Haut-Blanville is a family-run wine estate, built-in 1997 by Beatrice and Bernard Nivollet. The Nivollet Family had always dreamt about owning their own winery and this dream came true with Château Haut-Blanville’s first vintage in 1998.

The Terrain of Château Haut-Blanville

Château Haut-Blanville soils are based on Languedoc Grés de Montpellier, this appellation includes the vineyards of the region of Montpellier and its surroundings. Their vineyards are scattered across the valley to Hérault in the west and to Vidourle in the east. The southern border is the Mediterranean Coast and its northern border is the Pic Saint-Loup. The region is sheltered from the influences of the north by the Black Mountains and the Cevennes. The dry climate and humid sea air in summer helps immensely with the maturity of the grapes and creates a good balance of the vegetative cycle of the vines. An ideal combination of climatic conditions brings a good freshness and a common minerality to the wines of Grés de Montpellier.
