Domaine de l’Arjolle, the Winery of Prosper and Louise-Marie Teisserenc

Local Terrain and the Range of Grape Varieties at Domaine de l’Arjolle
On the plateaus of the estate, the soil consists of gravelly clays, which is perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Near the hillside, there is also gravelly-clay terroir with limestone, which is ideal for Syrah grapes to give finesse to this variety. The most common soil consists of sandy marls or sandy-lime marls of varying depth.
Hand-Harvested at Domaine de l’Arjolle.
Domaine de l’Arjolle stands quality and only hand harvests for all of the wines produced on the estate. 40% of production is aged in oak barrels from 6 to 12 months and the rest ages in tanks, what gives the red wines silky and rich textures. Take a wine tour on the winery if you want to know more about their wines and visit their vast cellar to enjoy the estate fully.
