The Vines and Wines of the Winery

The grapes at Claymore are carefully nurtured and harvested at peak ripeness to ensure balance and flavor intensity. Their gentle winemaking process results in wines that are both elegant and structured. The diverse range includes refined Shiraz, Cabernet, Grenache, Mataro, Sangiovese, Malbec, and Tempranillo, alongside crisp Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Chardonnay. Above all, Claymore Wines aims to create wines that enhance meals and foster connections among friends.

The Magic Begins at the Vineyards

Claymore Wines began just 20 years ago with small batches of Grenache and Riesling from a single vineyard in Penwortham. Today, the estate has expanded to include 44 hectares across four vineyards in Watervale, showcasing a variety of soil profiles and a mix of old and new vines. Some Riesling vines are over eighty years old, and the team takes great care to preserve their heritage, ensuring the longevity and quality of their wines.
