It transforms the often-intimidating world of wine tasting into a fun, engaging, and educational experience centred around gamified blind tasting flights. It’s designed to be a welcoming space for everyone, from the curious novice to the seasoned enthusiast, celebrating wine without brand bias.

Bottle Shock offers a unique way to explore and learn about wine. Through comparative blind tasting flights, customers discover their own palates and build confidence without pressure. The gamified approach makes learning interactive – discovering a great value wine you mistook for something more expensive feels like a win. It removes the daunting aspects of traditional wine culture, making it particularly appealing to younger demographics seeking genuine experiences, complemented by one of Australia's largest by-the-glass lists featuring over 140 wines under Coravin. 

We provide a much-needed, pressure-free space for Adelaide Hills wine producers. It's a venue where they can meet informally, entertain guests without the implicit obligation to 'buy the brand' often felt at cellar doors, and connect with industry peers based right here in the region. Bottle Shock also champions producers who lack their own cellar door, offering them a platform to showcase their wines alongside global benchmarks, effectively becoming an 'ad-hoc home' and ensuring broader representation of the region's talent. Firstly all the wines I've had from them are delicious! I enjoy their newsletters. But they also have good customer service. They initially sent one bottle wrong in my first order, but once I contacted them they sent me out the correct bottle, a gift, and gave me a discount code for future orders. Very pleased.

We found ourselves here on the search for the ever elusive Fiano, we have been an avid admirers and supporters since. In-fact the entire range brings joy and surprise. We have since moved many many miles away but still treat ourselves to an occasional well traveled tipple from a never to disappoint producer and dedicated team. I even heard a whisper of a basque style wine coming soon! I know very little but what i do know is a whine with an X in its name served with food on sticks is as close to bliss as I can get! Keep up the good work guys, hope to see you again real soon!
