The Story of Bodegas Barón d’Alba

Bodegas Barón d’Alba began with the cultivation of 15 hectares of vineyards, featuring varieties such as Macabeo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot, Monastrell, Syrah, and Tempranillo. The focus here is on quality over quantity, ensuring that each grape reflects the exceptional terroir of the Les Useres area. To enhance this quality, the winery was built right in the vineyard at CLOS D’ESGARRACORDES, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A dedicated team of professionals works meticulously at every stage of production, from vineyard management to bottling, to create wines that truly represent their origin.

Ideal Terroir of the Winery

The vineyard thrives in loamy soil rich in calcium, which contributes to the unique characteristics of the grapes. This region is known for its stony and limestone lands, both of which are essential for producing high-quality wines. Located just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, the vineyard benefits from a moderate climate, shielded by nearby mountains. This optimal orientation allows for ample sunlight and humidity, creating perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional grapes.

We booked a visit + tasting + appetizer. The truth is that everything went very well. Sergio, one of the owners of the winery (since it is a family-run winery), explained everything very well and treated us as if we were at home, taking care of every detail. The appetizer was very good and of quality, along with their extra virgin olive oil from their own harvest. Thank you for everything.

We visited the vineyards for a guided tour with tasting... family farm, very nice... they explained us the wine process and we tasted 2-3 red wines and 2-3 white wines accompanied by a plate of sausages... they have several options in the guided tour; just visit, visit with sausage, visit with food... The landscape is very beautiful and they are charming...

Delicious wines and a beautiful vineyard. We visited the Clos bodega and vineyard with friends in late September. A really interesting and in-depth tour of the site with Sergio. What a lovely history his family has here making sensational wines. After the tour we sat down to taste some of the wines, accompanied by a selection of breads, cheeses, meats and grilled vegetables - Gastro Top option. Well worth it - All utterly delicious. The friendly team made us really welcome and we enjoyed our wine experience from start to finish. Allow three hours or so. Highly recommended.
