Experience Exceptional Wines and Olive Oils in Tuscany
The Stunning Vineyards of Colmano
Colmano Winery spans over 8 hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards, dedicated to producing high-quality wines. The estate is divided into three distinct plots: Morrocco, Poggio Secco, and Bonazza, each receiving individual care. The Morrocco plot features clayey-sandy soil enriched with alberese and silicates, contributing to the wine's mineral and fresh aromas. Bonazza, with its limited three plots, ensures low yields, allowing the vines to thrive without overproduction. The Poggio Secco vineyard, bordered by a forest, boasts clayey-sandy soil ideal for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon.
Olives and Vines
In addition to its vineyards, Colmano is home to around 1,000 olive trees, featuring native varieties such as Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, and Pendolino. These olives thrive in the unique soil and climate of the region, resulting in a rich oil packed with antioxidants. The estate's modern olive grove, established in 2019, includes 2,500 plants of both traditional and innovative varieties, ensuring a blend of quality and heritage. The expert harvesting process enhances the oil's flavor, making it a favorite among visitors.
