Located on the left bank of the Greve River, Villa Calcinaia benefits from calcareous soil of Eocene origin, ideal for grape cultivation. The estate's climate, with optimal sunlight and sea level conditions, supports healthy vine growth. Since 2000, Villa Calcinaia has embraced organic farming, beginning with its olive groves and expanding to its vineyards. The estate is home to historic vines and olive trees that date back to the 19th century, promoting biodiversity and environmental health.

Quality Wines and Local Products

Villa Calcinaia cultivates a variety of grapes, including Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Mammolo, Occhiorosso, Merlot, Grechetto, Malvasia Blanca, Trebbiano, and Chenin Blanc. Their flagship wine, Chianti Classico DOCG, is complemented by a selection of around 20 different wines, including Chianti Classico Riserva and three single-vineyard Chianti Classico Gran Selezione. In addition to wine, the estate produces goat cheese, honey, and extra virgin olive oil, showcasing the rich agricultural heritage of the region.
