A great experience our Guide Alessandro was diligent and answered all our questions the wine was amazing probably the best wine I have had in a while. I highly recommend going here if you plan to visit Tuscany

This experience was the highlight of our trip so far. Having less experience with wine, it was really interesting to learn the process and difference in the end products. Our guide was amazing, happy to answer all of our questions and show us around. The tasting and snacks was of super high quality, and the place is simply stunning. Highly recommend for anyone coming to the Chianti region.

Through a cypress avenue of unique beauty you arrive at the Calcinaia farm which is a beautiful villa and garden with a countryside surrounding it that frames it perfectly. A part of this villa is used for offices, packaging and warehouse of wine bottles, while the direct sales are located in Greti which is very close to this farm.

Very beautiful, special winery in an old castle. The cypress trees line the path on the road to the house. Tasting was good and tour of the property was really beautiful. Learned a lot at this tasting vs some others too.

Wonderful place, nestled in the Chianti hills. Our apartment was not far from the swimming pool (well equipped and more than 1.80 m deep) with a view of the hills. Nothing is missing in the apartment: kitchen with electric stove, fridge, cooking utensils, drying rack, washing machine and a very comfortable double bed! 🙂 How about the welcome? Beata made us feel at home! I recommend everyone to vacation at Villa Calcinaia and also do a cellar tour with tasting.

We had a really great experience at this winery. It was the first winery we visited that day and by far the best. We left with a few bottles of wine and olive oil and in hind sight I wish we’d bought a lot more. Our guide was fantastic, well worth the visit. We will be back!

We visited the villa on the occasion of Cantine Aperte 2019. We took advantage of the event to take a guided tour of the exterior and the garden with aromatic plants and to have a quick look at the vineyards that produce good Chianti. At the end of the tour we had a tasting of eight wines produced by the Capponi family, owners of the cellar and the villa.

In a wonderful location there is a really beautiful villa. Immersed in the green and surrounded by magnificent hills with vineyards. Took a tour of the cellar with an excellent guide. The wines tasted were excellent. On the road back to Florence you will find the villa's shop on the left with the possibility to buy bottles of wine and oil. Average prices. To get to the villa, after leaving the main road, you have to take a dirt road lined with many cypresses.
