Corte Lonardi, a Boutique Winery in Marano

The small family winery Corte Lonardi is in the green heart of Valpolicella, located in Marano. The estate is relatively new but still has a great ancient gastronomic and rural history. Giuseppe Lonardi was the founder of the winery, which is currently run by his daughter Silvia Lonardi. The owner grew up in this region and was exposed to the family tavern and grape fields since childhood that allowed him to combine his love for wine and local food.

The Red Wine of Valpolicella, Reknowned in the World

Giuseppe Lonardi started making wines in the 80s along with his friend and experienced winemaker, Roberto Ferrarini. Valpolicella is an important wine region of the country that has fertile alluvial soil, temperate, mild climate, and soft green hills. The vineyards are in the Marano Valley, and the place from where aromatic and distinct wines come out. Corvina, Corvinone, Croatina, Cabernet, Molinara, and Rondinella are the grapes grown here. The best fruity grapes are used to make the world-famous red wines of the region.

Enhancing Undiscovered and Hidden Qualities of Terroir

Traditional ethics and modern innovative winemaking techniques are used to make their Amarone, Recioto, Privilegia, Valpolicella Ripasso, and Valpolicella Classico wines. The wines are aged in oak barrels to enhance the fragrance and structure of the wines. The wines enhance and help identify the undiscovered and hidden qualities of the region’s terroir. Apart from wines, the winery is also known for making Grappa di Amarone, and olive oil made using local olives. Guests are always welcome here for a nice experience and are hosted by the owner Silvia Lonardi herself.
